Export group configuration

To make it easy to select multiple groups, groups can be assigned to units, locations and departments. See Configuring groups for more information. The dialog used to configure the groups shows the hierarchical structure of units, locations, departments and the groups assigned to these objects. You can also export information of the groups. To do so, select the main tab Configure, press button Select group configuration. The dialog Specify units, locations, departments and groups is show. Press button Export …. UserManagemeNT will export the groups information to the temporary file grpcfg.txt. The UserManagemeNT starts the notepad editor and load the export file.

The file shows the information of each group assigned in the following format:

<domain/group>, ou=< unit>

<domain/group>, ou=< unit> loc=<location>

<domain/group>, ou=< unit> dep=<location>

The list is sorted by the <domain/group> column. The formats correspond with the type of assignment of each group:

1. To an unit

2. To a location within an unit

3. To a department within an unit
