Create Exchange 2000 & 2003 mailbox

The User Management Resource Administrators ability to mass create and update user accounts makes it the ideal migration companion instead of traditional scripting solutions. The flexibility offered by our visual scripting engine, but without requiring script development and maintenance, makes User Management Resource Administrator far more attractive than any migration solution on the market available today.

In middle-sized to larger organizations, Exchange is usually the primary environment for mail and other collaboration data. Since Exchange 2000 and 2003 integrate seamlessly with the Active Directory, it makes a lot of sense to add the mailbox creation and management to the regular user account management tasks. User Management Resource Administrator has several Exchange related script actions for easy integration in visual scripts. You can easily create a visual script to create Exchange mailboxes for new user accounts, but also for a group of existing user accounts or for an entire Organizational Unit. You can specify the following properties and attributes:

  • Exchange server: The name of the Exchange server on which the mailbox will be created. The name of the Exchange server can be used to determine the mailbox store used to store the mailbox.
  • Mailbox store: The name of the Exchange mailbox store used for the new mailbox. In more complex environments with multiple mailbox stores, the full LDAP mailbox store name is required.
  • Primary e-mail addresses: Optional, specifies the e-mail addresses for the Exchange mailbox.
  • Proxy e-mail addresses: Optional, specifies the e-mail addresses for the Exchange mailbox.
  • Auto-update e-mail addresses: The e-mail addresses for the Exchange mailbox can be generated according to the recipient's policy by enabling this option.
  • Hide from address book: Specifies whether the recipient is displayed in the address book.
  • Exchange mailbox permissions: Lets you configure the full range of Exchange mailbox permissions, such as "Delete mailbox storage, Read permissions, Change permissions, Take ownership, Full mailbox access and associated external account".
  • External account: Allows you to assign an external non-local domain account to the Exchange mailbox permissions using either a SID or a valid username.
  • Additional properties: Restrict receiving message size, Maximum receiving message size, Restrict sending message size, Maximum sending message size
